Planning for Net Zero & Beyond
Scotland’s International Environment Centre, part of the University of Stirling will deliver a workshop setting out what you can do to support net zero if you’re a small business. Thomas Billam, Net Zero Business Support Officer from the University will guide us through a practical approach setting out the what and the how for small businesses to help support their journey to Net Zero. You will have the opportunity to gain experience how to create a Carbon Reduction Plan.
As a business that supplies a service or product it will soon be a necessary requirement to have a Carbon Reduction Plan in place. There will be an opportunity to sign up for fully funded support to help Clackmannanshire businesses through this journey.
The workshop is hosted by Ceteris and all Clackmannanshire businesses are invited to attend.
Who should attend?
Small and medium-sized organisations from private and third sector in Clackmannanshire. Entrepreneurs, business owners, managers, and employees who want to not only fully understand net zero but get ahead of the curve and prepare net zero plans.
Outcomes
By the end of the event, you will:
- Have registered on the Climate Action Hub, a free resource to access the resources you need to develop your carbon reduction plan.
- Started your net zero planning journey.
- Started a Carbon Reduction Plan for your organisation.
- Have access to fully funded net zero Expert Help.
- Understand the additional support and resources available to help your net zero efforts.

More about the Climate Action Hub
A group of Scotland’s leading businesses have joined forces to launch a new climate action initiative to accelerate the just transition to a net zero future. The Scottish Business Climate Collaboration represents a range of key strategic support agencies and economic sectors and involves; Aggreko, Diageo, EY, FirstGroup, Bank of Scotland, ScottishPower, Scottish Water and Wood Group.
As part of the commitments made by the collaboration, the SBCC looks to support their supply chains and the wider small and medium enterprises ecosystem in Scotland through the development of the Climate Action Hub. Jointly funded by the Scottish Government and Scottish Business Climate Collaboration members, the Climate Action hub is a free-to-use platform. The Hub is designed to support SMEs understand climate risk and develop decarbonisation plans to support the global ambition of net zero.
