Ceteris is delighted to have been awarded “Resource Efficiency Pledge – Silver Level” by Resource Efficient Scotland. This award is in recognition of meeting and completing a number of Pledge Actions and is the culmination of three year’s work since Ceteris was awarded the Bronze Pledge in 2016.
The Resource Efficiency Pledge is a nationwide scheme backed by Scottish Government to help Scottish businesses use energy, water and raw materials more efficiently throughout their operations. Since its launch in 2014, nearly 200 organisations across Scotland have taken steps to save money and strengthen their businesses through the Pledge.
To get Bronze, Ceteris committed to setting up a Green Team, improving recycling rates, making electric vehicle charging points available to customers and staff, assigning senior management responsibility and providing external training. Building on these measures to gain Silver recognition, the business has held resource efficiency events, introduced environmental awareness as part of the induction process and added resource efficiency to job descriptions.
Angela Ogilvie, Operations Director, said “I’m really proud that we have been awarded Resource Efficiency Pledge – Silver Level status from Resource Efficiency Scotland. It really highlights the great strides forward we have taken and emphasises our commitment to continuous business improvement”
“Our fantastic “Resource Efficiency at Work” presentation, which will be shown to all new employees, was the final piece in gaining this prestigious award and I would like to congratulate our Green Team for creating this wonderful document”
“The Pledge has four levels of achievement, each building on the commitment of the previous. As we have now achieved the Silver and Bronze Awards, our next aim has to be the Gold Award and then onto Platinum…watch this space!”
Ceteris would like to thank all employees and tenant businesses for their hard work, dedication and contribution to this fantastic achievement.
