As part of Bike Week 2019, Ceteris has teamed up with Causewayhead’s Recyke-a-bike to offer local residents and businesses a FREE Bicycle MOT with Stirling’s Dr Bike on the morning of Friday June 14.
To take advantage of this free offer all you have to do is take your bicycle to Ceteris’ Springfield House office in Laurelhill Business Park, near King’s Park, Stirling FK7 9JQ between 9am and 12 noon on Friday June 14.
Springfield House offers serviced office accommodation and currently houses 17 businesses employing over 100 employees. Ceteris also offers office and industrial accommodation in a further twelve locations in Clackmannanshire, is working towards becoming a cycle friendly employer and already provides a bike rack, shower and changing facilities to those who commute via bicycle to Springfield House.
Recent research carried out by Ceteris shows that a massive 84% of employees at Springfield House have access to or own a bike and that almost a quarter (23%) commute less than 5 miles.
With this knowledge and following additional discussions with tenants, Ceteris will shortly be installing a new weather proof and lockable cycle shed at Springfield House, further improving the provisions on offer. Almost half of tenant companies at Springfield House expect that the new bike shed will encourage those employees who live nearby to cycle to work more often.
The Senior Management Team of Ceteris said “This involvement with Bike Week further solidifies our reputation as a forward thinking, environmentally-focussed sustainable business. We won the “Success through Sustainability award at the 2018 Clacks Business Awards, were recently finalists in the national VIBES Scottish Environment Business Awards and are currently working towards the Resource Efficiently Pledge – Silver Level.”
“We are following the lead of The Cycling Action Plan for Scotland by investing in and delivering a Cycle Friendly package of support for our Stirling staff and tenants. As well as installing improved cycling facilities, we are distributing literature highlighting local cycling routes and the benefits of cycling to work.”
Bike Week is delivered each year by Cycling UK, in partnership in Scotland with Cycling Scotland, and encourages a quarter of a million people to join in events, rethink their everyday journeys and switch to cycling as the most convenient way to get around. Bike Week 2019 runs from 8 – 16 June.
