Ceteris are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted in the Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Management Award at the 2017 VIBES – Scottish Environment Business Awards.
This achievement recognises, amongst others, Ceteris’ commitment to environmental sustainability, reducing environmental impact and the continuous improvement of environmental policy.
Almost 40 businesses throughout Scotland have been announced as finalists for the 2017 VIBES – Scottish Environment Business Awards in recognition of their commitment to the environment.
The Awards, which are celebrating their 18th year, received a record number of entries across a range of sectors from food and drink, energy and consultancy to manufacturing, highlighting the diversity of companies working hard to contribute to Scotland’s sustainability.
The finalists have been selected across nine individual award categories which aim to recognise the different ways organisations are implementing environmental best practice in their daily activity; from developing new products and services to improving processes.
Sustainable best practice isn’t just good for the environment but is also beneficial for business performance, with companies reporting numerous benefits including enhanced competitiveness and both environmental and financial savings; something which VIBES is keen to communicate to the Scottish business community.
Commenting, Gillian Bruce, chair of the VIBES Awards, said: “Congratulations to this year’s finalists, each of which has impressed judges with their commitment and innovation in environmental and business best practice.
“VIBES is dedicated to recognising companies which have taken significant steps to reducing their environmental impact. Over the 18 years since the first VIBES ceremony, we have seen entries from businesses of all sizes and sectors, highlighting the range of businesses supporting Scotland’s sustainable development. We look forward to celebrating with many of these businesses and our new finalists at this year’s awards.”
Angela Ogilvie, Operations Director of Ceteris, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be nominated at the 2017 VIBES – Scottish Environment Business Awards. It is the culmination of integrating clear objectives for environmental and sociable improvements alongside financial performance targets that have resulted in both environmental and economic benefits to our business and the local community.”
“We have made huge strides in tracking and monitoring energy consumption across our portfolio of properties, reducing waste to landfill and increasing recycling figures. We have introduced energy-efficient appliances and procedures and, looking forward, will be implementing water-saving methods and continuing with our LED replacement programme.”
“I would like to thank all staff, tenant business and especially our Green Team for the dedication and effort that has resulted in us being shortlisted for these prominent awards”.
The VIBES – Scottish Environment Business Awards will take place in Edinburgh this year at Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa on November 15.
