During Clacks Business week the Federation of Small Businesses sponsored a Women in Business lunch. This was so popular that Business Gateway Clackmannanshire realised there was demand for a regular meeting. So recently a group of Clackmannanshire business ladies met and agreed a programme for 2017.
The theme will be Celebrating Clackmannanshire and each event will be held at a different location. Dorothy Henke of Business Gateway said : “Women are particularly good at celebrating and recognising success in others. We want to encourage women to come along, meet other entrepreneurs and hear about the stories behind businesses both in Clackmannanshire and further afield. “
Guest speaker at the launch event on 28th February will be Jane Shandley, MD of IQ Choc.
“My partner Kate and I are the founders of iQ, the clever little chocolate bar. Never shy of a challenge, we set out to develop a truly unique Bean-To-Bar Super Food chocolate; scouring the most remote corners of the planet to find the healthiest and tastiest raw ingredients.”
Jane will relate the journey of this award winning business. How they spent many long days and nights perfecting the recipe and process. After 12 months they finally succeeded in creating a delicious Bean-To-Bar chocolate. Jane’s story is inspirational – lots of success but like all businesses there were bumps along the way.
