Over the last few weeks, Ceteris (Scotland) Ltd have have been collecting donations of Advent Calendars for Community House, Alloa.
The Community House aim to raise self-esteem, self-confidence and aspirations through a range of activities. Five after school clubs are held in which physical activities, art, drama, music, computer skills, basic cookery are offered. The project provides a youth club on Friday evenings for secondary school age young people.
They also have two drop in Coffee mornings, over 50’s lunch club on a Thursday, Family teatime club where children and families come and share cooked meals.
During the school holidays a Breakfast club is provided 5 mornings a week. A helping hands group has been established for adults who are unemployed, this gives them time to eat and socialise together and have access to internet to search and apply for jobs.
